The Rack Prime is a 3D-printed skull mount built for fallow deer, sized and angled for the palmated racks that make fallow unlike anything else on the wall.

Fallow antlers don't behave like other deer. The upper beam flattens into a broad palm with points running off the trailing edge, which means a fallow rack needs more clearance and a different pedicle angle than a typical whitetail mount provides. The Rack Prime is cut for that geometry.

HOW THE BULLET LOCK WORKS

Two Bullet Lock connectors thread directly into the base of each antler. Interlocking gear teeth inside the skull's sockets let you rotate each antler independently and lock it at the angle you want. On a palmated rack, small rotation differences show up fast, since the palms catch the eye in a way tined beams don't. If it's not sitting right, back it out and reset it. No glue, no permanent commitment.

Because the connectors screw into the antler itself, the system works the same for a naturally shed antler and one cut from a harvested buck.

ABOUT FALLOW SHEDS

Fallow bucks typically drop in April and May, later than whitetails, and they regrow fast enough to be back in hard antler by late summer. A mature buck's palm widens noticeably year over year, so a stack of sheds from the same animal tells a clearer growth story than most species.

Like axis, fallow in the US are almost entirely a Texas ranch animal. They were introduced for hunting and hold well in Hill Country terrain, which is why fallow sheds turn up in the same places axis sheds do.

COMPARED TO A TAXIDERMIST EURO MOUNT

A traditional euro mount means boiling or beetling a real skull, degreasing, whitening, and mounting it. Done professionally that runs $200 to $300 and takes weeks. The Rack Prime is $69.99, ships in 24 hours, and works with sheds, which matters when you don't have the skull at all.
